User at the center of ecosystem

When I joined the team in 2016, each Microsoft service had its own account management experience, with different designs, tech stacks, and voice. We went through a journey where we put Microsoft Account and user as the center of ecosystem - boosting satisfaction, retention and trust.

3 transitions

Between 2016 to 2020 - we redesigned the experience twice, with core goal to unify, simplify and seamlessly integrate it to Windows where users are.

2015 - each service had management experience, lots of inconsistencies, layouts

2016 - Unified account management experience, simplified layouts

2017 - Improved user flows and content density

2019 - Simplified further, Integrated with Windows 11

Web experience

I led the design for last significant redesign of the account.microsoft.com - we further simplified the layouts, brought personality and unified a strategy between settings and account management.

Windows 11 Settings

Acted as a visual designer for windows 11 settings, establishing a baseline for visual system and building blocks in pursuit of redesigning Settings for Windows 11.

Settings Home

We always envisioned user at the center of ecosystem, Settings Home brought user through their account to center of ecosystem - with a clean and clear view of their ecosystem.

Backup and Restore

Another important aspect of user at center of ecosystem is ability to take your ecosystem with you - backup and restore experience is crucial for that. I led the design for backup and restore experience, making it easier for users to set up new devices and take their ecosystem with them.
